Biggie you have taste....

Shook ones is a favorite and anything Tribe Called Quest is a massive winner.

stumbled across the old Outkast stankonia cd today which isnt half bad.... and KRS-ONE- temple of hip hop compilation which is pretty impressive.

Here ya go.
APATHY 'WANNA SNUGGLE' 09 Posted Imageawsome true school MC, solid album, on some more mature ish than previous freestyle albums etc.

If you never heard of BRAINTAX from UK, check out his album 'BIROFUNK' Posted Imagefair few years old now, but a timeless hiphop album.

Also UK HUSTLERSPosted Image,

PHI-LIFE CYPHER 'HIGHER FORCES' Posted Imageone of my fav, plus there previous album 'MILLENIUM METAPHORES' Posted Imagefrom 2000 but timeless no doubt.

Not to mention LIFE MC, from (Phi-Life Cypher) Peep this album from 'OUTSIDE LOOKING IN' Posted ImageDJ nappa on production is always on some dope shit.

One below 'SONOGRAM' Posted Imageawsome album.

THE ROOTS' THINGS FALL APART' Posted Imagefrom way back now, but a classic HipHop Album if you never heard.

ill be honest im still listening to the same shit i was 5 years ago.
same here, new stuff sucks balls

I'm still bumping alot of old school shit.
It's what i first listened to when i got into hiphop.

Company Flow
Rawkus artists
Del
Heiro
Souls of Mishief
Casual
Aceyalone
AI
WuTang
Pharcyde
Living Legends
Grouch
Dougie Fresh
Kool and The Gang

rah rah...

There are still amazing artists today. The game's just different.
Time influences style, if anything - in alot of ways most everything now is garbage because of the mainstream appeal.
Plenty of burner underground groups and solo emcees though.

DZK IS GOD.

Find me a better rapper.

I haven't seen Pharoahe Monch mentioned anywhere in this thread. WHY NOT! His latest album W.A.R. is farking good.
This is produced by M-Phazes.

the problem is all the best rappers are dead.

I basically only listen to dead dudes, weird.

moment of truth is still one of the best mono rap albums of all time, cant wait to find it on vinyl!

That's enough murder for now.

All this new shit is pretty ghey sorry
If your not a criminal, your just a phoney and can't claim to be a gangsta rapper, you have to be the person u claim to be in your songs IMO

Doesn't appeal to me they don't have the raw appeal the 90s rappers had, mwa, cube, dre, snoop, big, 2pac, etc
You have no idea. Ghey shit. Rap is dead
Deal with it

Fair enough hiphop isn't dead though. You can't say I have no idea when you state that "If your not a criminal, your just a phoney".
