I did it on my laptop and could view the waveform, so that made it much easier. However, no, I was not auto-syncing in that mix :P
I much prefer using an external soundcard so I can set my cues according to sound and beatmatch appropriately (and using a laptop I can still see the waveform which can be handy depending on what I'm doing).
Don't have one atm though, so yeah, it's a pain to record mixes :(

Cheers tho man. I hope you like the rest of it.
If you'd like to hear more let me know and I'll do another mix.

ahhh i see, im so used to my primitive CDJ world, i didn't think about having a laptop with waveforms ect.

its the kinda stuff that i love listening to (well, my stuff is a bit more loungey) but none-the-less, i was still able to dig it all.
good work, if you get another mix done chuck it up!

Yeah I can use both, but don't have CDJs atm. Too costly. I've got too many other bits and pieces of gear to save up for, like synths and controllers etc as I'm starting to get into some production.
It gets really fun when you can run 2-4 decks on a program through the laptop, and another 2 CDJs/vinyl turntables. There are so many different combinations of gear you can run that will allow more functionality for particular things/styles.

Thanks for the comments, Glad to hear you liked it :)

Traktor Pro (I recommend)
Virtual DJ

And there's a few production programs you can 'DJ' with, but they arent really worth getting unless you're going to be producing music.

Cheers man.
I'm a fan of all psytrance/psybient etc etc and etc :P So yeah I love em.
Younger Brother is also great. It's another one of Simon Posford's projects, collaborating with Benji Vaughan.

Are you doing these mixes on gear or on a PC? If the latter, man up and use some decks eh

I'm waiting for 2 tracks to come in the mail before I can record and unleash my first Industrial Hardcore demo.

I don't have decks man. I don't have the money at the moment, and for the sort of stuff I play it's not feasable for me to buy them right now. I have other production gear I want first =)
Doesn't mean I can't use decks tho! haha .. just can't record demos n shit on em

edit: OH and whats this now? what sort of style have you moved on to?

Hardstyle has fagged out lately, gone all soft, mushy and melodic - plus there's nothing for me to learn with the genre and nowhere to play out, so I'm undertaking a new challenge in learning Hard Techno & Industrial Hardcore.

I'll post it up when its done.

Yeah I know what you mean. I just stopped listening to it basically. I didn't want to, but it'd just gotten to shit. Still listen to the older stuff I used to though from around 03-06.

Sounds cool man, it'd be good to have a listen. Haven't heard much of that stuff
