  2. Mk triton reviews/opinions

fuel economy would be roughly 13-15L/100kms. Reliability wise you don't want to get a petrol one thats over 300,000 or near it. I've heard of some passing 400,000 without a rebuild but yeah.. only a few cases. But yeah as I said earlier it's pretty hard to compare the Pajero engine to the Triton engine they do vary a bit. Should check out here http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=10 pretty good forum and yeah I'm sure triton owners will be able to answer your questions a little better.

I've got a NJ 3L petty. It's pretty hard to compare to the triton if that's where you're leading.

Check if this ad is legit http://adelaide.gumtree.com.au/c-Cars-Vehicles-Motorbikes-Parts-van-ute-GU-2000-NISSAN-PATROL-DX-TRAY-BACK-W0QQAdIdZ294726705 seems pretty darn cheap for a GU.. but it wouldn't hurt checking.
  5. engine transplants (adelaide only)

Lucas has the right idea. My scenario was best case out of the petrol engines in comparison the the commo engine.. I can just see headaches and a budget blowout... If they've been done many times before just buy one of those.. you've save a heap of coin and at least you'll get an idea on what they're like. I can see why people do the v6 commo conversion with other cars... just can't see why you would do it with this..
  6. engine transplants (adelaide only)

Umm what? Why on earth would you want to do that?! The TB42 engines are reliable, has more torque and would probably be better on fuel... Just seems to be pointless to me..
  7. Would probably be cheaper buying both and transferring everything over.
  8. Call him Rager. I gave up on trying to text and PM him and cbfed chasing it aha because I really shouldn't get another car.
  9. Details on the Shorty like is it running rego etc.? and maybe a couple of pics. Cheers.

Thanks heaps Truck! Will do it sometime this week before putting it in the garage. Might take pics and do a DIY tutorial or some shit and post here. ARB told me I should change the shaft while I'm at it since its been exposed for over 2 weeks now. It's a little tear which is getting bigger, probably not enough to let anything in at the moment. What you think? Change it while I'm at it or leave it. Urgh I don't know why people even bother with your posts... go join an Isuzu forum... your cars the same as an Isuzu Mu and Wizard there should be plenty of info on it including tutorials on how to replace your cv boots etc. USE SOME COMMON SENSE!.. oh yeah and use google.. googles pretty amazing.
