sr20det sparkplugs and gap

Recommended Posts

Hey so Ive been searching around the web for a while now and cant find the answer. What sparkplugs should i run in my s14a sr20det? All the pages i found on it were from around 2006... Whats the best plug and gap? Im halfway finished the engine rebuild now it has slightly higher compression, stock turbo will be running 12psi for a bit. Until i save some more money for a bigger turbo

Bkr6es they come pre gapped to 0.8mm which will be fine to 14-15psi

If your going to run 20+psi step down to a heat range colder to bkr7es and gap to 0.6mm

stock platnums that came standard in teh s15. i got 130000kms out of them and still in relativity good condition, worked flawlessly ! and replaced them because i thought it was rediclous they were still going strong... (.9 off memory?)

they will handle everythign that the stock turbo can huff at them.

once you change turbo and running 18+psi then you need to look closer at plug gaps .8-.7-.6 etc
