S15 (Stage 2 SR23VET power, 1st dyno video up)

Recommended Posts

Love builds that have no budget lol

Awesome setup

:)

I just bought a ti-r system how does it sound ???

Sound alright I think, not overly loud or dronie. But it will sound heaps better if you remove the axel back . :thumb:

what are your plans for interior? (seat choice, cage etc?)

Might be looking at a fix back bride for the driver and move the stradia to passenger. With regards to the rollcage I'll leave it till the car is getting too quick for my liking, I just wanna see how fast it can go before I take it to the final stage.

Love watching this!!

...but I'm still not quite there with using spacers on the xd9's still (unless somethings changed and I've missed it)

What wheels will you be going eventually?

There's nothing wrong with using spacers as long as you regularly check them and that they are of better quality ie H&R etc. Most racing wheels on the market are usually around the +15 +18 offset being 10-11 inch wide, and that's still ample of room under my guards.

Saying that the wheel that I'm looking at getting next may be the AME tracer.

Since you're a family man now The imo I reckon you should go all out safety-wise (proper cage with legit seat and race harness), just incase anything does go wrong one day.

I still remember trying to keep up with you going up springbrook and neebo and the thing was stock (those where the days)... im itching to see how it is now out at the track!

The i think you will take it out once and want to put a full cage in it! not only does it protect you it also makes the car more ridgid! the ammount of improvement a halfcage did for my 180 was massive but its always good to test different things and to see what improvements it makes from what it was before

as for the spacers. definatly nothing wrong with them! i run 25mm bolt ons all around on my 180 and havent had a drama just like a wheel they shouldnt come loose but yet checking them is always a safe bet and also using a quality spacer using quality studs.

Thanks guys, there's something I want to achieve before putting the roll cage in. This year is more to running the engine in , sort out the gearbox and the brakes.

So the last few weeks were spend sorting out little clitches ie.

Display dash

Thermo fans

Little leak here and there

Brakes

New rear tyres etc

Unfortunately everyone been abit snow under so the progress is abit slow, but only one or two little things to sort out then it off to the dyno for the full tune.

Anyway just a few pics

Looks the goods and its great to see it moving once again.

Do you have any further goals to do with the exterior styling? Looks to still be rocking the ADM lights and rear bar haha.
