steveP 16 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) Thanks Kris, was a good reality check with the purpose of working out and what we're all trying to achieve. For others who haven't watch it yet, it's a little long (90 mins), but worth your while. Amazing to see a guy who was 27% body fat get to 6% and a bit below on comp day. Would have been good if they explained a little more about his workout and diet plan. Edited October 2, 2012 by steveP

asleep 0 Posted December 10, 2012 Good watch, There is a documentary on sbs tomorrow night at 8:30; The Truth About Exercise "Whether it’s running, swimming, cycling, or hula hooping, we have always been told that doing regular exercise is one of the keys to a healthy and happy life. Our one-size-fits-all approach to maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle is very rarely questioned, but with recent advances in genetic testing technology and brain stimulation techniques, scientists are uncovering the new and surprising truths about what exercise is really doing to our bodies, and why we all respond to it differently. In this program, Michael Mosley uses himself as a human guinea pig to discover the truth about exercise". (From the UK) (Documentary) G CC JUST SAYING. steveP 16 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) Watched 'The Truth About Exercise' last night. It largely had nothing to do with training or increasing strength. It was more concerned with basic fitness levels for people with no time or are just lazy; saying that it's better to do very short amounts of high intensity training (1 minute), instead of 30-60 minutes of low intensity jogging, etc a day. It also touched on maintaining a better resting metabolism and keeping insulin levels in check. Edited December 11, 2012 by steveP
